GABOUREY SIDIBE ON THE VANITY FAIR SNUB
When Vanity Fair did their annual cover line up of Young Hollywood starlets recently, it was noted that Gabourey Sidibe of the film, Precious, was noticably absent. I mean… how can you do a young Hollywood cover, when the leading young Hollywood actress for an Oscar nomination in 2010, was missing from your starting line up?
Sidibe seems to have a good grip on things though, saying: “At first I thought, ‘Hmm, should I be there?” she told Access Hollywood. “Then I very quickly got over it. I think if I were a part of that shoot I would have felt a little left out anyway.”
Well said. And, the humble star, will always get ahead in the end. Humility is so attractive, regardless of what form humility make take to present herself to us all. Hollywood needs humility, least we get caught up and trapped in the machinations of our own image… so thank you Gabby Sidibe. We love you! :)
