NIA LONG SETS OFF A BEYONCE FANS CAT FIGHT ON TWITTER
Actress Nia Long is a bit disgruntled that she’s not getting film roles. She says that film roles are going to singers that can’t act, because they sell more tickets.
Whether she said her name or not, Twitter went Beserk tonight, defending Beyonce’s good triple threat graces. I don’t think Nia understands that Beyonce not only acted in Obsessed, but she’s a #1 Box Office opener too.
That’s all that matters to studio bosses in a recession. Beyonce is also an executive film producer, so as a future boss on black film projects in Hollywood that Beyonce is, perhaps Nia should not talk about her boss that way. And if she didn’t mean Beyonce by the word ‘singers’ don’t ever start America up, on Jennifer Hudson’s behalf. Nia would be run out of town for that!

Oops, that last line was a little mean. :)
Does Nia have a point? Black singer actresses who act are: Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Janet Jackson, Anika Noni Rose, Mary J Blige, Queen Latifah to name a few.
Miley Cyrus does it… so what’s Nia’s problem? Or does she have a point, that black actresses need to bring an audience with them to be taken seriously?

It’s nice to have an opinion in all. But the fact is, Beyonce’ is mediocre at all her endeavors. You’ve been drinking too much of her dad’s Kool-Aid. Nia was, and still is a firecracker and I would love to see her on the big screen anytime.
