KATHERINE HEIGL GOES FOR EMMY GOLD

Last year was the big Gray’s Anatomy ‘spat’ where Katherine Heigl turned down her Emmy nomination, because she felt her work on Gray’s didn’t warrant a nomination last year. What she meant was, don’t cast me in your Emmy’s show and use my face, when another actress, did much better work than I did.

Her honesty caused a few issues and challenges for the Gray’s Anatomy producers and landed Heigl in a bit of hot water. Then a recession hit us all, and anyone who actually had a job in TV or in film (Heigl has both) suddenly felt so grateful. That was like winning Emmys and Oscars all round for Hollywood.

This year, Gray’s Anatomy gave Heigl ‘the Izzie has a brain tumor’ storyline and Heigl acted her tatas off. She’s now ready to go for best supporting actress with this role. Shonda Rhimes even raved that Heigl did “beautiful work.”
