BILLY RAY SPINS TISH CYRUS INTO A HOLLYWOOD FILM PRODUCER

You have got to give a spin maestro credit where you see it. Billy Ray Cyrus is a master of PR and spin. He’s got the magic touch and thinks more of others than himself.

By parlaying his #1 music hit, spotlight into an acting career, Billy Ray then set about establishing his daughter Miley Cryus to become a tween superstar. Miley rules the world of the tween set for any teenaged girl. Billy Ray achieved that with his daughter in just over three short years.

Then he played talent scout and cast Justin Gatson, into the Cyrus family clan. A controversial photo shoot with Billy Ray and his daughter on Vanity Fair shot by famed photographer, Annie Leibowitz. The ‘fall out’ from this photo shoot, then set Justin up to be introduced to the public and accepted as a ‘norm’ by the American public, although Gatson was 20 years old and Miley was just 15 at the time.

It was clever spin by Billy Ray, in handing over some fo the reings to young Justin in protecting his family. Miley than had a ‘minder’ and ‘driver’ from the press, while Billy Ray got to work on other future projects. Miley & Justin are a hot topic on the tween set here in Hollywood, so Billy Ray created a tween romance to rival any other. He’s so smart. Now Justin Gatson has just landed the lead role in Simon Fuller’s Santa Cruz TV Show pilot.

Billy Ray’s future son-in-law has now been spun from a former underwear model, who sings and songwrites, into a TV star, with a highly likely record contract with Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell. Billy Ray’s magic in PR and talent management is working well.

The next trick of Billy Ray is to spin his wife, Tish Cyrus, into a film producer.

Miley will finally get to play a rebellious teen who hangs out with her estranged dad for a summer in upcoming drama, The Last Song. An Australian lad has been cast in the lead. So is this a switch up of the hit musical Grease? It could be.

Say’s young Miley of the role: “I’ve always been lucky to play parts that relate to me, and this doesn’t at all. I have my issues, but not as bad as this chick. So I’m happy to play someone that’s just kind of out there and not someone that I’m like.”

Nicholas Sparks’ upcoming novel The Last Song, is the film’s inspiration.Shooting begins in June and the movie hits theaters 2010. The book hits shelves in the fall. A subsidiary company of Disney will produce the film with Billy Ray’s wife Tish Cyrus as the film’s producer. Julie Anne Robinson, a director of show’s Grey’s Anatomy, Big Love and Weeds of ABC, will direct the film.

It’s hard to believe that by 2010, Billy Ray Cyrus has parlayed his entire family into superstardom of Hollywood entertainment. It’s a recession, but all are working in lucrative entertainment jobs. Not to mention, the band Metro Station and their musical achievements either, with Tish and Billy Ray’s older son, already having had chart success. The dude is just too much. Congrats Billy Ray! Nice job leading your family.
