ALEX MERAZ HAD A BUN IN THE OVEN BEFORE NEW MOON

Injun Chiefs need to breed early ya’ll to replenish those First Nation blood stocks that are endangered of extinction. Alex Meraz is doing his bit, for America in keeping the new blood of First Nations Indians alive and well.

The actor whose been recently cast in New Moon, makes Twilight heartthrob, Robert Pattinson look like a mere school boy, in the scheme of life. Alex Meraz (aka New Moon Daddy), recently had a bun in the oven and a new mouth to feed is now his top priority. I kind of dig that, over Young Hollywood’s priority to… just get to Les Deux nightclub on Hollywood and Cahuenga each week! And then get in the club without cueing as competition is fierce! lol! Know what I’m sayin?!

Alex’s reality is a little less superficial than that! Word up brotha! Go Young Injun Chief!

Here’s a fantastic interview, with rising actor, artist, model superstar Alex Meraz and the future of First Nation Indians in Cinema. Like Alex, lets work ya’ll! Congrats to Alex and Kim Meraz. Hey Kim!

Alex Meraz might have been introduced to the wide world as a member of the wolf pack, but the New Moon star is also a devoted husband to his wife Kim — and was clearly thrilled about pending fatherhood.

Nowhere is this more apparent than in these incandescent photos taken by Iscah Trujillo, a photographer and friend of the family who shares with Celebuzz.

“With every pregnancy there is something very beautiful,” Iscah tells Celebuzz. “And they’re so good together.”

“Alex is so happy as a father,” says Iscah. “He loves it. And you can really see the love come through.”

The photoshoot is reminiscent of Demi Moore‘s famous Vanity Fair shoot and Britney Spears on the cover of Allure.

It came about when Alex and Kim were visiting the New Mexico ranch Iscah shares with her husband Raoul (Alex’s longtime friend and mentor). Alex and Iscah had collaborated on photo projects and decided to do a shoot with the eight-month pregnant Kim. “They were very comfortable with each other and where they’re at,” says Iscah (Celebuzz has added the black bars for all-ages viewing).

“We shot a couple of rolls of film at a friend’s house,” says Iscah. “It was natural lighting. We were getting strong shadows, but it works. It made different parts of them stand out.”

The first of these is called “Mythic Love.”

“They look mythic to me as a couple, even when Kim is wearing fake fingernails,” laughs Iscah.

A short time after the photo shoot, their child was born, Somack.

Somack, welcome to your lupine destiny.

At last we checked, this is Twilight‘s first baby! Tell us your thoughts in comments.

This is such a beautiful picture of a man, a woman, a couple, a family and LIFE. I remember taking pictures when I was expecting our 3rd child with my husband and our two children holding my stomach. Family is everything to me and these pictures remind me how important life and love is….we need more of it in the world. Not to mention keeping my Hawaiian blood alive through my children. Mahalo for sharing! Aloha, Lady Z
