SUPERSTAR KATHERINE HEIGL IS GRAY-CIOUS
The mark of any true star, is to always be gracious, humble and play it like a team member. Katherine Heigl exemplifies these traits in Hollywood.
At Gray’s Anatomy‘s 100th episode celebration, where producer Shonda Rhimes wheeled out a cake decorated with scalpals and syringes, Rhimes thanked her cast members including Heigl, Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeio for their “huge accomplishment.”
At the event, superstar Katherine Heigl had these things to stay:
- “I will stay if Gray’s will have me.”
- “I’m there if ‘Izzie’ remains a part of the show… I don’t know whether she lives or dies.”
- “It’s one of my favorite place to be… and my friends are there.”
- “I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year,[Heigl is happy to shoot her movies in Gray's hiatus time. She does not have normal holidays] but I can take at least another year or two,” she said.
Now if that does not sound like a fair sport, a team player and a total superstar, then the media who fabricate stories that Heigl is an ungrateful, entitled diva, need their heads read. Rock on sista!
Patrick Dempsey, Heigl’s costar who also shoots Hollywood movies outside of Gray’s Anatomy too also has two years left of his contract on the show. These are the big two stars to watch, for the A-List life of the show.
After all, it’s what team members do, outside of normal work hours, that returns a spotlight to the show in prime time, more so than other team members who just exist within school hours. I think Heigl rocks and is extremely gracious in the old Hollywood glamorous way. She more than does her share for team. Chalk it!
